As the Apple Watch arrives in the hands of customers, Vogue has shared a video interview with Jony Ive and Marc Newson, in which the two discuss the design process of the device. Ive and designer Newson both discuss the reasons that customers may purchase the Apple Watch, as well as their own opinions on the design and the choices that went into the design process. The interview, conducted by Suzy Menkes, was held at the Condé Nast International Luxury Conference in Florence, Italy....

HBO’s new series Westworld, created by Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies), has been years in the making. Though the teaser trailer for the sci-fi/western finally debuted last summer, production was halted early this year and rumors began swirling about possible problems with the script and even the filmmakers themselves. Based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name, Westworld is the story of a western-themed adult amusement park where patrons can participate in their wildest and most dangerous fantasies with realistically-human robots....

Legendary voice actor Jim Cummings has played over 400 roles including Darkwing Duck, the Tasmanian Devil, Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. The last two, he reprises in Disney’s newest live action film Christopher Robin, hitting theaters August 3rd. Cummings voices the soft spoken Pooh and exuberant Tigger opposite Ewan McGregor, as Christopher Robin, and Hayley Atwell, who plays Christopher’s wife Evelyn. Cummings sat down and talked about the responsibility of voicing characters like Pooh and Tigger, the message of Christopher Robin, and the continued popularity of Darkwing Duck, 25 years after the show ended....

Not long after Apple finally entered the smart speaker market with the HomePod, it appears there’s further competition on the way. Job ads suggest that Spotify is planning to enter production with its own speaker. It was clear as long ago as last April that Spotify was at least exploring the idea, but new job ads suggest that the company may soon be gearing up for manufacturing … Musically spotted the ads....

New teaser videos for John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum confirm that a trailer is coming on Thursday. Released in 2014, the original John Wick introduced Keanu Reeves as the titular reluctant hitman with a near-supernatural presence. The film went on to be a surprise sleeper hit, grossing $88 million worldwide on a modest budget of just $20 million. In the sequel John Wick: Chapter 2, Reeves’ character found himself once again being pulled into the world of assassins, but this time the stakes were raised and the mayhem increased....

Joker is officially certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, but that could change as more reviews come in. While JWoww has forgiven her on-again-of-again boyfriend fans are hopeful that the reality star will reconcile with her roommate too. Apple exec Jimmy Iovine has lent weight to a WSJ report that Apple plans to offer scripted TV shows to Apple Music subscribers by the end of the year. The Hollywood Reporter reports Iovine telling TV critics that the company’s streaming music service needed to go beyond songs in order to grow. Iovine specifically confirmed that video content offered by the service would not be exclusively focused on the music industry …...

Story clues and character details point to a serious possibility that Arthur is Thomas Wayne’s son, which would make him Batman’s half-brother. When the chilling first trailer for Todd Phillips’ Joker was released there was no real reason to question why the Joker and the Wayne family were at odds, since fans are so used to the idea of the Joker and Batman being enemies....

Jon Favreau has explained how he managed to work on Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Lion King, and The Mandalorian at the same time. The actor-filmmaker has played Happy Hogan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past eleven years, going back to the original Iron Man in 2008. However, over that same period of time, he also directed Iron Man 1 & 2, in addition to the one-off comic book adaptation Cowboys & Aliens and The Jungle Book retelling....

Now that Marvel’s Jessica Jones (along with the rest of the Netflix MCU shows) has come to a close, it seems like the perfect time to reflect on the entirety of the show and reminisce on it’s best and worst moments. And while Jessica Jones was always a superhero show with a whole lot of girl power and soul, one thing that every viewer was undeniably looking forward to was watching a whole bunch of badasses kick butt and take names like it’s their job....

UPDATE: April Fools! It looks like Jared Leto’s Joker remains in Birds of Prey. But should Phoenix’s version get more than one movie? Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker may find himself joining the DCEU proper after the actor films a cameo with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn for Birds of Prey. This would see the one-shot villain replace Jared Leto as the prime Joker going forward. The next two movies from DC Films have, thus far, been viewed as entirely separate endeavors....

John Krasinski has had a very eventful career, so here’s where else you may have seen the Jack Ryan star. The character of Jack Ryan was created by author Tom Clancy and has been played by multiple actors. Ryan made his screen debut in The Hunt For Red October, where he was played by Alec Baldwin. Baldwin was supposed to reprise the role for 1992’s Patriot Games, but opted out and was replaced by Harrison Ford....

Rumen Petkov, the award-winning Bulgarian animator, filmmaker, and professor, passed away on June 11 at the age of 70. While American periodicals made little mention of his passing, Petkov was immortalized in headlines in his native country of Bulgaria, where he began his career as a cartoonist and animator. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Petkov entered the field of animation in 1969. Ten years later, he created the popular animated television series Choko the Stork and Boko the Frog, which was later adapted into a comic strip in the magazine Duga (which translates to “rainbow” or, literally, “arc”)....

Brett Cullen is Thomas Wayne in new set photos for Todd Phillips’ Joker. Principal photography for Warner Bros.’ comic book film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character, is currently underway in New York and several photos from the set have already leaked online, offering fans their first look at the intriguing project. Set in the ’80s, the movie will introduce fans to the iconic DC villain when he was known as simply Arthur Fleck - a failed comedian....
